Secretary School Education Department Participates in Workshop on Balochistan Education Policy and Gender Equality

The Secretary, School Education Department, Government of Balochistan, Lal Jan Jaffar Shab, participated in the five-day workshop on Balochistan Education Policy and Gender Equality in Education Policy, held from 1st to 5th June 2026 at Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS). The workshop, organized with technical support from UNESCO and Global Partnership for Education, brought together education experts, policymakers, development partners, and key stakeholders to deliberate on the future direction of education in Balochistan. The Secretary appreciated the valuable contributions of UNESCO, GPE, education specialists, and all participants for their commitment to strengthening the province's education sector. He emphasized that a modern, inclusive, and gender-responsive education policy is essential to improving access, enhancing learning outcomes, and ensuring that every child—especially girls and children from marginalized communities—has the opportunity to receive quality education. He reaffirmed the Government of Balochistan’s commitment to evidence-based policymaking and collaborative reforms aimed at building an equitable, resilient, and future-ready education system for the province.
